Training programme on “Quality Seed Production in Field Crops” at Agricultural Research Station, Kampasagar on 27-03-2023

Seed Research & Technology Centre, Rajendranagar, Hyderabad has organized One day training programme on “Quality Seed Production in Field Crops” at Agricultural Research Station, Kampasagar on 27-03-2023. In this training programme, lectures on Quality Seed Production in paddy, pulses, and vegetables have been taken up by Dr. K. Prabhavathi, Sr. Scientist, SR & TC, Rajendranagar, Dr. N. Lingaiah, Sr. Scientist (Pl. Br. ), Dr. V. Sridhar, Scientist (Pl. Br. ), ARS, Kampasagar and Smt. K. Swathi, Assistant Professor, APT, Kampasagar respectively. Along with above topics, Management of pests and diseases in field crops by Dr. A. Ramulamma, SMS, KVK, Role of soil health management in quality seed production by Dr. K. Chandra Sekhar, SMS, KVK and Guidelines for Participatory seed production was taken up by Dr. V. Swarnalatha Scientist, SR & TC, Rajendranagar. Later farmers were exposed to the breeder and foundation seed production plots at ARS, Kampasagar. In this programme Dr. I. Swarnalatha Devi, Principal, APT, Kampasagar, Dr. S. Srinivas Rao Programme Co-ordinator, KVK, Kampasagar and sixty four progressive farmers of different mandals of Nalgonda District have participated.
